Increasing innovation impact at KLM

How do we increase the innovation impact of our team?

This was the challenge KLM brought to us. Over the course of nearly one year, together with a team of TU Delft, we facilitated workshops and co-creation sessions with KLM employees to increase their innovation impact. How? By bringing in a focus on user-centric and design-led creation.

We introduced, Design Doing - bringing together knowledge and practices from TU Delft and business challenges and insights from the KLM business. The concept and approach of Design Doing took us to the Dutch Design Week. 

We began training 8 teams on design-doing practices, with the ambition to eventually train many more employees. Covid-19 put those plans on hold, but we can proudly share we already contributed to better cross-departmental collaboration, saw employee engagement increase and client-focused innovation/creation improve.
